  • 1. Royal South Hants Hospital, Southampton SO9 4PE (UK)

Description

The search for a cure for cancer continues throughout the world. Although photoradiation therapy is not a panacea for all forms of malignant disease, it does represent a new and unique approach to the treatment of a wide range of localized tumours. When further clinical trials have been performed, its role will be clearly defined, and it may then play an important part alongside surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy in the management of many forms of malignant disease
