Organization and methods for environmental monitoring
Creators
Description
The classification and brief characteristic of radiation hazard sources are given. The quantitative estimate of gaseous and liquid wastes, formed in the process of normal operation of the nuclear power plant is given. Shown is the comparative estimate of the biological harm, caused by the contamination from the operation of nuclear power plants and fossil fuel power plants. Methods for environmental monitoring of the nuclear power plants are presented. The dosimeters used in various monitoring systems are pointed out. The ways of radionuclide migration in two media: in the air and in ground waters, are shown. The problems of developing modern methods of the environmental radioactive control are formulated. The principles of the organization of the dosimetric system, controlling the nuclear power plant influence on the environment are given. The organizational structure of control over the performance of nuclear objects in Poland is described
