Action organisation in the case of increased radioactivity: tasks, means and sequences

A new danger potential for people and the environment ensued from the application of nuclear technology in civil and military areas. As a result of nuclear weapon tests expert groups have been put together and laboratory and measuring network set up with the objective of measuring radioactivity in our environment. This organisation has been extended in line with the increasing nuclear weapon potential and the commissioning of nuclear power stations in Switzerland. The current action organisation for increased radioactive activity is a result of this development, its tasks and structure being discussed in this paper. The various elements and means are described and references made to current developments. 3 figs., 1 tab
