Description

When sessile organisms grow in the seawater cooling system and its condenser equipment, the pump load is increased, and the blockage and the corrosion of the equipments are promoted. It we can constantly monitor the amount of sessile organisms, effective measures against them can be done. In this study, we developed a device that automatically measured the amounts of planktons, barnacles and sessile organisms in seawater. (author)
