Formation and properties of Cd3Sb2-Ag-Mg and Cd3Sb2-Zn3Sb2 system solid solutions

Description
Cd3Sb2(Ag), (Cd3Sb2)1-x(Mg3Sb2)x, where 0≤x≤0.22 and (Cd3Sb2)1-x(Zn3Sb2)x, where 0≤x≤1, metastable solid solutions are synthesized. Parameter of their elementary cells, values of density and temperature of solidus and liquidus are determined. They still retain tendency to transit into stable phases at slow cooling after melt hardening or at heating after preliminary rapid cooling of hardened alloys. Phase formation processes in the studied systems may by shown by their complex phase diagrams of stable and metastable equilibria which can be plotted by means of experimental technique described in the paper
