Lifetime measurement in 144Gd

Description

An example for a magnetic rotational band has been suggested to exist in 144Gd. In order to prove the magnetic nature of this band it is necessary to measure the B(M1) strength as a function of the spin. Preliminary results of a corresponding lifetime measurement are presented. (orig.)
