Quantum fluctuations around classical field configurations: the (m2/2 φ2 + λ/4 φ4 + σ/6 φ6)2D model

Description

In the present work we give a closed expression for the quantum correction to the soliton mass in two-dimensional scalar field theory models. We show that in order to get a finite expression, after renormalized, the phase shift δ(p) will behave as 1/p for large p. We then solve for the solitonic solutions in the (m2/2 φ2 + λ/4 φ4 + σ/6 φ6)2D model. (author)
