Description
The probability of low-energy gamma-induced nuclear transmutations was investigated. By measuring the activity of the 197mPt state after irradiation of a 197Au target with 60Co gamma rays, the value of σL=(1.3±0.5).10-31 cm2keV was found for the cross section of this process.
