The data on the frequency of cancer of lungs of experimental animals after inhalation and intratracheal administration of α- and β-radiating radionuclides are presented. The evaluations obtained in this study have been compared with those previously published. Risk assessments obtained using animals confirm the resolution of International Committee on radiation protection (ICRP) to apply the risk factor for lungs equal 2x10sup(-3) Svsup(-1) (20x10sup(-6) rem sup(-1)
