Measured characteristics of infrared edge radiation from BESSY II

Description

The absolute intensity distribution of the infrared synchrotron radiation from dipole magnets on the BESSY II storage ring has been measured and the Stokes parameters obtained. Good agreement is found between the measurements and the calculated characteristics using the BESSY WAVE code and the ESRF SRW code. The results are useful for future IR beamline developments
