Methods of analysis ruthenium determination in the uranium extraction process from ruthenium-uranium mixture

Description

Analytical method of ruthenium in a mixture of uranium-ruthenium has been developed by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Optimum operating condition for ruthenium determination were: wavelength 249.9 nm, slit width 0.2 nm, burner height 13 mm, air flow 13.5 l/minute and acetylene flow 2.9 l/minute. The linear standard curve for ruthenium was at about 2 - 20 μg/ml, with maximum normality of nitric acids 1.5 N and uranium was 0.1 - 4 %. (author)
