Crystal field effects in ErNi5

Description
Crystal field parameters in ErNi5 are determined from magnetization and susceptibility measurements on a single crystal. The level scheme is in agreement with the neutron inelastic scattering measurements. As in other intermetallic compounds, the parameters differ from point charge calculation. (Auth.)
