The Nb-Ga-Y system

Description

Isothermal cross section of the ternary Nb-Ga-Y system at 800 deg C is plotted, the structure of cast alloys, and Y effect on Tsub(K) of Nb3Ga are studied as well as by the methods of X-ray microscopic, X-ray electron probe analysis and Tsub(K) measurements. New ternary phases in the system (up to 70 at% Ga) are not observed. Solid solutions on the base of Nb, Y and binary compounds of niobium and yttrium with gallium are in eqUilibrium
