Three-dimensional quadrupole mass spectrometer with elliptical electrodes
- 1. Ryazanskij Radiotekhnicheskij Inst. (USSR)
Description
To increase the sensitivity and resolution of a quadrupole mass spectrometer new elliptical electrodes are calculated. The analytical calculations has revealed the following advantages of the quadrupole mass spectrometer with elliptical electrodes as compared with an analyser with axis-symmetrical electrodes: better resolution, better sensitivity, lesser impact of nonlinear resonances. The basic circuit of a pulse shaper is given the control unit. The spectrometer ensures the resolution of 200 at the 10-10 torr sensitivity in a dynamic range of 104
