Description

A study is made on possibility of observation of small self-oscillations in plasma filament of the tokamak under ohmic conditions. Experiments are conducted with the use of the FT-2 tokamak at the following parameters: toroidal magnetic field in the chamber center is 17-27 kGs, the average plasma concentration is 3x1013 cm-3 discharge current is 30 kA. Scanning wave at 59 GHz frequency with ≤0.5 W power is introduced into plasma under steady conditions from the internal side of torus. The dispersed signal is received and recorded by superheterodyne receiver. Possibility of using the method of amplified SHF wave scattering for study of short-wave oscillations, characteristic for ohmic tokamak conditions as well as the oscillations excited under additional heating in rather wide range of frequencies is proved
