Description

The Vienna Automatic System-Planning Programme (WASP) was developed in order to give the planners of electricity-producing systems a help for planning the long-term completion of the system. For this purpose, the operation of existing power plants which are assigned for extensions is simulated, the total expenses of each alternative proposal are calculated and the financially optimal extension strategy for power plants is chosen with the help of a 'dynamic programming' algorithm. Abstract (German)
