Composition of superfluous phases in cast heat resistant nickel chromium alloy

  • 1. Tsentral'nyj Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Chernoj Metallurgii, Moscow (USSR)

Description

Metallographic phase analysis and micro-X-ray-spectral analysis are applied to determine the composition of the primary phases produced in a cast heat-resistant nickel-chrome alloy. The way in which the alloying elements are distributed through the phases is studied. It is found that the carbonitride phases contain 45-50% Nb, 13-14% Cr, 30-34% Ti and 4.5-6.9% Mo. (author)
