Effect of camphor on Kinetics of Zn2+, Cd2+, Eu(3) reduction
Description
Polarographic techniques have been used in studying the kinetics of electrolytic reduction of cations Zn2+, Cd2+ and Eu (3) in the presence of camphor. The effect of camphor is shown to be radically different from that of surfactants whose adsorption can be described in terms of a generalized surface layer model. The half-wave potentials for the reactions of cations Zn2+, Cd2+ and Eu (3) are consistent with the camphor desorptionpotentials
