Development of Ag-sheathed Bi2223 superconducting wires
Description
Sumitomo Electric Industries has established an integral scheme on I-E evaluation and total length assurance for Ag-sheathed Bi2223 superconducting wires to meet advanced application studies. It consists of three systems of evaluation: a sequential critical current measurement system with an automatic defect inspection system for total length, a I-E characteristics measurement system for total length covering the low electric field, and Ic-B-T measurement system. The integrated information from these three systems assures the wide range I-E performance under any required conditions of temperature and magnetic field, which is a priority requirement for all of the superconducting applications
