Absolute cross-sections in collisions of ions with helium atoms at low and intermediate energies

Description

Absolute cross-sections are calculated for single capture, double capture, direct single ionization, direct double ionization and transfer ionization in collisions of various ions (q=2-6) with helium atoms in the energy range 20-2500 keV u-1. The present calculations are carried out using a developed classical model based on previous studies by different groups in the frame of the independent-electron model. The results of this simple model are in reasonable agreement with the available experimental data.
