Description
Solvent extraction separation of molybdenum with thiocyanate is mostly confined to the extractive photometric determination of the metal ion in microgram amounts, and where milligram quantities are employed, the methods have been used for the removal of molybdenum(VI) from rhenium(VII) but not for the quantitative separation of the metal ion itself. The various factors affecting this separation are discussed here and a procedure is given. (author)
