Nuclear waste transmutation strategies in accelerator-driven sub-critical systems
Description
The hybrid reactors seems to be a good alternative to the nuclear wastes incineration. To better chose the more appropriate technology, a deductive approach based on the explicit description of an hybrid reactors park, is proposed. This approach shows the strategical choices not the exclusivity of the scientists or the engineers. This approach is applied to three fuel cycles: the incineration with a solid fuel without recycling, the incineration with a liquid fuel without recycling and the incineration with a liquid fuel and an in-line treatment.
