Problems of genetic hazards by radiation in man
Description
The first part of this paper discussed those types of mutations which occur spontaneously time after time; the probability of occurrence for the mutations was, however, increased by using ionizing radiation. The second part describes the results of radiogenetic investigations in mammals in as far as they were significant for man. The dangers to the germ cells of both sexes approximately 8 weeks before fertilization and to the ovum shortly after fertilization were pointed out. An attempt was made to estimate the number of additionally induced genetic defects in relationship to the radiation dose. (orig.)

Im ersten Teil des Artikels werden die Typen von Mutationen geschildert, die spontan immer wieder auftreten, deren Wahrscheinlichkeit aber durch ionisierende Strahlen erhoeht wird. Im zweiten Teil werden die Ergebnisse der strahlengenetischen Untersuchungen am Saeugetier geschildert, soweit sie fuer den Menschen Bedeutung haben. Dabei wird besonders auf die Gefaehrdung der Keimzelle beider Geschlechter ca. 8 Wochen vor der Befruchtung hingewiesen. Es wird eine Abschaetzung der Zahl zusaetzlich induzierter genetischer Defekte in Abhaengigkeit von der Strahlendosis versucht. (orig.)Additional details
