Liquid-phase bonding of TiNi-based alloys

  • 1. Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University), 125993 Volokolamskoe shosse 4, Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

The paper considers the possibility of producing liquid-phase bonding of TiNi-based alloys containing a high volume fraction of Ti2Ni intermetallic particles and high nickel content in the alloy matrix. Using the methods of differential thermal analysis and scanning electron microscopy, the possibility of the eutectic reaction in the alloys upon heating has been determined as well as the precipitation of nickel-enriched particles in the bonding zone.
