Giant resonances observed in 115In using pion double charge exchange
Creators
Description
Measurements were done of pion double charge exchange on 115In at 5 degrees with a beam energy of 292 MeV. The (π+, π-) reaction was used to observe the giant dipole analog resonance (DA), along with the double isobaric analog state (DIAS) and the double dipole resonance (DD). Identification of the states was accomplished by comparing to previous data of angular distributions of this reaction. Data at higher excitation energies is shown to exhibit a resonance structure above the DD
