Selected problems of minimizing and processing radioactive wastes from nuclear power plant decommissioning. I
Description
Three alternative methods of nuclear power plant decommissioning are described: DECON, SAFSTOR and ENTOMB. The estimated quantities of radioactive wastes are given which are generated in the process. The criteria of the categorization of radioactive wastes are discussed. The purposefulness and suitability are assessed of the decontamination of the equipment and components of the nuclear plant.
