Description
An Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) sponsored workshop was held to review instrumentation and control (I ampersand C) issues for nuclear power plants. Workshop topics covered the need for upgrades, experience already obtained in upgrading I ampersand C components and systems in power plants in general, and discussion of the concerns specific to nuclear plant environments. Partly as a result of the workshop, EPRI is formulating an integrated I ampersand C upgrade plan for the nuclear power industry. This paper discusses the workshop efforts leading to the plan
