Metallurgy and vacuum treatment of large forge blocks for facilities of nuclear power stations
Description
The production technology of pressure vessels for WWER-type reactors in the SKODA Works is described. A metallurgical process is tested which consists in the combination of various technologies, the arc-welding, the melting in the SM furnace, and the vacuum casting. After heat treatment the chemical composition and the mechanical properties of the steels 15CH2MFA, 15CH2NMFA and 15CH2NMFAA which are determined for the WWER-reactor 440 and 1000 are tabulated
