The material contained in this 1. technical report refers to aspects of the postulated leak and break behaviour of austenitic pipework of small nominal size in LWR systems in Germany and various other countries. The material presented has been prepared by collecting, analysing, comparing and evaluating national and international publications and research reports on leak and break behaviour of austenitic pipework, as well as documents and data showing the state of the art expressed in boundary conditions, basic principles and requirements established for determination of postulated leak-before-break behaviour, or exclusion of break, in the various countries. Abstract (German)

Die Ausfuehrungen des hier vorliegenden 1. Technischen Berichts beinhalten Teilaspekte zur Frage der Leck- und Bruchpostulate bei austenitischen Rohrleitungen kleinerer Nennweiten in Leichtwasserreaktor-Anlagen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und in verschiedenen Laendern. Die durchgefuehrten Arbeiten umfassen im einzelnen die Beschaffung, Sichtung und Bewertung von -nationalen und internationalen Publikationen und Forschungsarbeiten zum Leckage-und Bruchverhalten von austenitischen Rohrleitungen - Unterlagen in denen der derzeitige Stand im Hinblick auf Randbedingungen, Grundsaetze und Anforderungen fuer anzunehmende Leck- und Bruchpostulate bzw. fuer Bruchausschluss in den verschiedenen Laendern festgehalten ist.
