Description

The content of soluble and colloid forms of nickel in natural ground water, in ground water contacting hardened cement, as well as in artificially salted ground water at a temperature of about 28 deg C in nitrogen atmosphere was studied by the method of radioactive indicators using 63Ni isotope. The investigations were conducted to estimate dose burden stemming from the presence of nickel radioactive isotopes in waste water of nuclear power plants. It was ascertained that nickel solubility depends largely on the type of ground water. In natural ground water a portion of nickel is bound with colloid particles
