Description

This paper reports on EUROGAM, an Anglo/French ray detector which will alternate between the tandem Van der Graaf accelerator at Daresbury and the Vivitron at Strasbourg. Because of the very sensitive nature of the electronics for Germanium gamma ray detection, VXIbus (VMEbus extensions for instrumentation) was chosen as the basis for data acquisition. A major program of development, shared between the British and French participants, is now in its final stages for operation in early 1992
