The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ESCA) and its applications to organic chemistry

  • 1. Paris-7 Univ., 75 (France)

Description

The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ESCA) enables the qualitative chemical analysis of organic compounds and the determination of the oxidation degree of the elements in the molecules. Under certain conditions, the quantitative chemical analysis is possible. Two aspects of the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy are presented: the study of Auger spectra and valence bands
