Gas-cooled, graphite-moderated nuclear reactor
Description
Modern gas-cooled, graphite-moderated nuclear reactors of the AGR type possess an access pipe for fueling for each fuel element channel, which pertrudes out through the concrete container. It is difficult to install the pipes standing very close to each other which are constructed of part pieces welded together. It is therefore suggested to modify the standpipes at the place where they jut out of the wall, so that they can be more easily connected to the upper plate and to each other. Each standpipe is fixed at least to one other standpipe in such a way that an axial movement between them is counteracted. (UWI)

Moderne, gasgekuehlte, graphitmoderierte Kernreaktoren vom AGR-Typ besitzen fuer jeden Brennelementkanal ein Zugangsrohr fuer die Brennstoffbeschickung, welches durch den Betonbehaelter nach aussen ragt. Der Einbau der sehr engstehenden Rohre, die aus zusammengeschweissten Teilstuecken aufgebaut sind, bereitet Schwierigkeiten. Es wird daher vorgeschlagen, die Standrohre da, wo sie aus der Wand heraustreten, so zu modifizieren, dass sie leichter mit der oberen Platte und untereinander verbunden werden koennen. Jedes Standrohr ist an mindestens einem weiteren so befestigt, dass einer Axialbewegung zwischen ihnen entgegengewirkt wird. (UWI)Files
