KHG's implementation of measurement programs in case of abnormal occurrences

One of KHG's tasks is to carry out measurements in the surroundings of a nuclear plant in case of an abnormal occurrence or an accident. KHG has therefore adapted the operator's documents (maps, description of measurement points) to its own purposes, procured suitable measuring vehicles and set up mobile radio networks to transmit the measuring results to a data centre. The staff is trained at regular intervals in courses held at KHG or in onsite exercises. The equipment and instruments, the management of the measured data, and the difficulties encountered while setting up the system are described.
