Attitudes towards risks and opinions on a repository for spent nuclear fuel in four local communities

Description

A questionnaire was mailed to 1500 persons in each of the four communities that are candidates for siting, or otherwise involved, of the nuclear waste repository. 80 of the non-respondents were interviewed over telephone. The questionnaire included questions about the inhabitants attitude towards locating a repository in their home community, about participating in a local referendum, about trust in experts and organisations and about knowledge in the radioactive waste issues.
