Metallogenic perspect prognostication of carbonaceous siliceous argillaceous type uranium deposit in the northwestern margin of Xuefengshan uplift belt

  • 1. Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology, CNNC Key Laboratory of Uranium Resources Exploration and Evaluation Technology, Beijing (China)

Description

Based on the characteristics and ore-forming conditions in Pan'gongtan deposit, the ore-hosting bed (Niutitang formation of Lower Cambrian), NE striking faults, downfaulted red basin and Cambiran lithofacies paleogeography are regarded as the primary ore-controlling factors in the region. Ac- cording to regional geochemical exploration, Mo, V and Ag are closely related to uranium metallogenssis. According to the technical request in National Potential Evaluation of Uranium Resources, geological conditions and prognosis factors for the evaluation carbonaceous-siliceous-argillaceous rock type uranium deposit was summarized in the northwestern margin of Xuefengshan uplift belt. The uranium potential of carbonaceous-siliceous-argillaceous rock type has been estimated in the area, which can provide scientific basis to uranium exploration and strategic target selection.
