Absorption edge of Bi12MxO20±δ sillenite crystals (M Zn, B, Ga, P, V, [Al,P], [Ga,P], [Fe,P], [Zn,V])

Description
The absorption and circular dichroism spectra near the edge of the fundamental absorption of Bi24B2O39, Bi36ZnV2O60, and Bi24V2O41 monocrystals were studied for the first time. The fundamental absorption edge position depends on the degree of disorder of the crystal lattice of different sillenites. For each of the crystals, the energy gap was determined. The shape of the fundamental absorption edge of sillenites was found to be caused by the exciton-phonon interaction

Впервые изучены спектры поглощения и кругового дихроизма в области края фундаментального поглощения монокристаллов Bi24B2O39, Bi36ZnV2O60, Bi24V2O41. Показано, что положение края фундаментального поглощения зависит от степени разупорядочения кристаллической решетки силленитов различного состава. Определены значения ширины запрещенной зоны для каждого исследованного кристалла. Установлено, что форма края фундаментального поглощения силленитов обусловлена экситон-фононным взаимодействиемAdditional details
