Spectroscopy of unstable nuclei using direct reactions with inverse kinematics

  • 1. Tokyo Univ., Center for Nuclear Study, Saitama (Japan)

Description

In-beam spectroscopy of unstable nuclei is discussed from the aspects of the inverse kinematics and selectivity of direct reactions at intermediate energies. As examples of spectroscopy of neutron-rich Be isotopes, isobaric analog state of 14Be and an isomeric 0+ state are presented. For the next phase of γ-ray spectroscopy, a new array consisting of segmented Ge detectors developed by CNS is introduced. (author)
