Effect of thermal treatment on hot-pressed isotopically modified boron carbide 10B4C

  • 1. Georgian National Center of High Technologies, Georgian Technical University, I. Vekua Sokhumi Institute of Physics and Technology, Tbilisi (Georgia)

Description

Samples of ceramics 10B4C was obtained by hot-press techniques in condition of 2100 ℃ temperature and 30 MPa pressure. Samples was annealed in vacuum by temperature of 1800 ℃. It was conducted bit-mapped, microscopical researches. Studied ceramics physical-mechanical properties. Determined influence of thermic treatment on processibility, fracture strength, hardness, elasticity modulus and also on mechanical strength of ceramics. (author)
