Nuclear logging apparatus
Description
A nuclear logging apparatus is described. It comprises a tool including a sub having a radioactive source in a container mounted in an opening in the wall of sub the source lying in a plane orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the sub and along a chord of the cross-section of the sub in that plane. The sub also includes at least one detector with which the source may be aligned. The source container has a threaded end for securing it to the sub and may have bayonet means for its insertion and removal by a tool having corresponding bayonet means. (author)
