Determination and finding the size of faults near the surface of reactor components with the aid of a holographic ultrasonic imaging process

In the context of this research process, the process of holographic sonic field imaging for the detection and description of component faults near the surface was used on selected samples. Further, sonic field images of faultfree and faulty sample surfaces were taken, a data file was started, and the images were evaluated with the aid of a digital picture processing system. A sonic field camera developed in the quality control area and the ''Gammascope CRTR'' picture processing system of the firm Isotopentechnik Dr. Sauerwein were used for this process. (orig.)
