Gamow-Teller strength distributions for solar neturino detectors via the (p,n) reaction

Description
Before the neutrino capture strength for a nucleus can be accuratley calculated, it is necessary to know the magnitudes of allowed Fermi and Gamow-Teller transition strengths connecting the detector ground state to all states below the particle emission threshold in the final nucleus. Therefore, the forward angle neutron spectra for 69Ga(p,n)69Ge, 97Mo(p,n)97Tc, and 127I(p,n)127Xe at 120 MeV were measured using neutron time of flight techniques at the Indiana University Cyclotron Facility
