Synchronization of time measurements at widely spaced locations

Description

VLF radio signals and standard TV transmissions habe been used for the synchronization of widely separated detector systems in long baseline cosmic ray experiments. The inter-station distances involved vary between 1 and 250 km. The receiver and signal decoding circuitry is described. (orig.)
