Condensate desalting tower monitoring facility

Description
The facility of the present invention suppresses the total organic carbon (TOC) concentration in condensates, which is conducted as a part of attaining high purity of water quality of primary coolants upon start up of a BWR type power plant. That is, a condensate desalting tower having a condensate supplementary water system main valve is connected to an exit line of a condensate filtration device by way of a check valve. A bottom line pipeline is connected being branched from the condensate desalting tower exit line. A TOC measuring device is disposed to the bottom line pipeline by way of a main bottom line valve. A signal from the device is sent to the condensate supplimentary water system main valve and the bottom line main valve. With such a constitution, the TOC concentration is monitored and the bottom line (washing) is repeated till the concentration is lowered to less than a standard value, and then the washing effect is confirmed. With such procedures, manual sampling for bottom drain water and an analytical measurement for the TOC concentration are no more necessary. As a result, operator's burden and exposure dose are decreased, as well as operation time can be shortened. (I.S.)
