Tritium BIXS application software development based on LAB VIEW

  • 1. China Institute of Atomic Energy, Beijing (China)

Description

Non-destructive measurement of tritium distribution in the depth direction in solid material, using HPGe detector combined with the main amplifier and pulse amplitude analyzer developed β-ray-induced X-ray spectrometry (BIXS) for measuring continuous bremsstrahlung X-ray spectrum produced by the decay of tritium β rays collide with atoms in the material, and can be analyzed to obtain the depth distribution of tritium concentration in the material.BIXS PC application software system based on the LabVIEW platform developed independently for data measurement and analysis of BIXS energy spectrometer requirements, USB communication can transfer data between PC and BIXS energy spectrometer. The system having the function of data acquisition, image smoothing, peak search, linear energy scale (multi-point energy scale), and the calculation of the peak area and resolution capabilities, and also can access and query operations in the database combined with LABVIEW environment to search elements. Quantitative and qualitative analysis for the energy spectrum realized through the software system. (authors)
