Description
The results of the study of natural gamma activity of soil and sediments of the Carpathian region's biggest rivers as Uzh, Latoritsa and Borzhava demonstrate the sensitivity of mountain ecosystems to the factors of human life. We investigate the features of spatial and seasonal contents of the most common radionuclides which serve as markers of the industrial and geochemical features of the mountain regions. It was concluded that the process of Carpathian mountains self purification have the cyclical nature of the radionuclide content caused their washing from soils.
