Infrared edge radiation in electron storage ring

Description
The edge radiation from the inlet and exit of a bending magnet was introduced. Then flux distribution and brightness characteristics of zero edge length, finite edge length and finite straight-section length were discussed in detail. After a comparison with ordinary infrared radiation in both flux and brightness, authors conclude that the edge infrared radiation is a good infrared synchrotron source
