The possibility of regulatory control on radiation protection engineering developments in X-ray diagnostics

Three examples - interventions, mammography, computed tomography - are used to illustrate that government regulators, too, are well placed to suggest innovative technological approaches for reducing exposure to radiation in X-ray diagnostics. Discoveries of this kind are therefore entirely capable of triggering new ways of thinking in other EU countries as well. (orig.)
