Efficiency calibration of low energy photon spectrometers

Description

Radionuclide calibration sources were used for direct and independent measurement of the efficiency of a low energy photon spectrometer at eight energies in the range 8 to 25 keV. A computer code implementing Monte-Carlo methods was written to model the physical processes and the source-detector geometry which determine the full energy peak efficiency of the spectrometer
