Experimental data on dose-effect relationships in vivo to combined treatment with drugs and radiation

Creators

  • 1. Saint Bartholomew's Hospital Medical Coll., London (UK). Dept. of Radiobiology

Description

The combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy carries great promise for improving the results of cancer therapy, however, if not carried out with the necessary caution it may bring more harm to the patient than benefit. Radiobiological studies might help to design treatment schedules which are effective and safe. (orig.)
